Fisher Transmitter

Fisher transmitter is an industrial automation instrument under the Fisher brand of Emerson Process Management. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, electric power and other industries.

Common types

Liquid level transmitter: such as the FISHER ZTD series intelligent pontoon liquid level transmitter, which can measure liquid level, interface level or density. It is composed of imported original DLC3000 series intelligent liquid level controller and pontoon measuring chamber. Based on the principle of force balance, The liquid level is measured using the change in buoyancy of the float in the liquid.

Position transmitter: such as the Fisher FieldVue 4400, used for position feedback and diagnosis of critical isolation valves. It uses a linkage-free, non-contact magnetic component to provide continuous position indication throughout the valve stroke. It also has a limit switch output. Can be integrated into existing switching circuits.

Working principle

Liquid level transmitter: Changes in the liquid level of the measured medium cause the depth of the buoy to be immersed in the liquid to change, and the buoyancy force on the buoy changes. The buoyancy force of the buoy is measured through the stress sensor, and the buoyancy change is converted into the corresponding liquid height signal, and then through V/I conversion or A/D, CPU (+HART), D/A conversion into standard 4mA~20mA current output.

Position transmitter: Uses the Hall effect sensor to sense the movement of the valve shaft and convert it into an electrical signal to achieve accurate measurement and feedback of the valve position. When the valve shaft moves, it causes changes in the magnetic field. The Hall effect sensor detects this change and converts it into a corresponding electrical signal. After processing, it outputs a signal representing the valve position.

Features

High-precision measurement: The measurement accuracy of the liquid level transmitter can reach ±0.5% FS or even higher. The position transmitter can accurately feedback the valve position and provide accurate data for process control.

High reliability: Using high-quality circuits and sensing systems, it has good stability and anti-interference capabilities, and can operate stably for a long time in harsh industrial environments.

Multiple output signals: supports 4-20mA DC analog signal output, and also provides HART protocol digital signal output to facilitate communication and data transmission with the control system.

Easy to install and maintain: The structure design is reasonable and the installation methods are diverse. For example, the liquid level transmitter has a variety of installation forms to choose from, and the connecting rod-less design of the position transmitter simplifies the installation and calibration process.

Diagnostic function: Some models have self-diagnostic function, which can detect their own working status, detect faults in time and alarm, and can also provide detailed diagnostic information to help maintenance personnel quickly locate and solve problems.

Application areas

Petrochemical industry: used for storage tank liquid level measurement, distillation tower liquid level control, pipeline valve position monitoring, etc. to ensure the safety and stability of the production process.

Electric power industry: It can be used in boiler water level measurement, condenser liquid level monitoring, etc. to ensure the normal operation of power generation equipment.

Pharmaceutical industry: It plays an important role in reactor liquid level control and raw material storage tank liquid level monitoring to meet the high-precision control and quality requirements of the pharmaceutical process.

Food and beverage industry: used for liquid level measurement of various storage tanks and containers, as well as liquid level control of filling equipment to ensure product quality and production efficiency.
